Sepor accompanies and congratulates to D. Jose Manuel Vizcaya Sanchez invested Doctor Honoris Causa by the University with Murcia
Sanchez-Vizcaya, University professor of Health Animal in the University of Alcala of Madrid and collaborating member of SEPOR have been invested Doctor Honoris Causa by the University with Murcia in recognition to its scientific contributions where it emphasizes to have contributed remarkably to the control of the African Pig Plague, the horse Plague and classic pig Plague, with the development of new methods and reagents of fast and sensible diagnoses, new strategies epidemiologists and of vaccines of new generation

The new doctor honoris cause, that was invested during an act celebrated in the campus of Espinardo, has been sorry that our country does not have “an agreed scientific strategy, stable and clear than we want so much in investigation as in teaching”.
Worried about the population growth, Vizcaya Sanchez affects which.: “the challenge of our profession like veterinarians is to obtain the foods that the society demands, but with all the measures of bio-security”.  Subject that SEPOR introduced within the technical days in 2008 and 2009 and that had the professor, next to other specialistic technicians in Feeding, for the development of the different aspects from the nourishing chain.

“On the other hand, it added that to the climatic change or, still better, the global heating that it undergoes the planet, is affecting to the public health and the health animal, which supposes another challenge that is due to confront resolutely”.
The act counted on the Sanchez-Vizcaya friendly presence numerous, between which it is the Manager of SEPOR Patry Bermúdez and professors coming from universities like Cordova, Saragossa and Leon as well as of the Regional Advisor of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Bristle.
Within the interventions the dean of the Faculty of Veterinary medicine, Antonio Rouco, emphasized of the biography of the new doctor honoris in center causes to his investigations and advances on the horse plague and the pig plague and its decisive paper of Investigation in Health Animal. He also emphasized of Sanchez-Vizcaya that the Organization of the United Nations for Agriculture and the Feeding (the FAO) appointed person in charge of the program of intercontinental eradication for America of the pig plague.
The closing of the act was the responsibility of the director, Jose Antonio Cobacho, who emphasized murcianía of the new doctor honoris cause and its contribution to the progress of the science and the well-being of the society.
Cobacho was also useful to praise the international level of the Faculty of Veterinary medicine of the University of Murcia, promoter of the concession of this doctorate and divides organizer of the Days appointed professionals of the sector in SEPOR
